When God throws you curve balls, can you still smile with Him ?
Even movers who haven't shown up yet to move us, (they were supposed to come Wednesday, I am crossing my fingers they come before Shabbat), even that can't get me down, because I am TRULY PUMPED and over the hurtle of overwhelm in my moving process to California because of three things I was reminded of this week. Maybe these tools can help you, too:)...Shabbat Shalom and Happy Friday
Just tune in. So for this impromptu episode I am basically sharing more on my moving process with Lana and you all. Some random sh%t has happened this week, which helped me put some things into perspective. From a small miracle and goodbye party disappointments to helping a would-be suicide bomber not commit suicide and rediscovering the major benefits of the energy tool EFT, listen in on some random yet poignant sh$t.
Happy Friday,
I haven't written in several weeks since our last Episode: Episode 22: To Surrender or Take Action. Listen here on Spreaker, iTunes, Stitcher in case you missed it. Since that episode, I did indeed surrender, then I did take action. On yesterday's show Episode 23: Transitions I share some BIG news with Lana and my listeners. My family and I are currently going through a major unexpected life transition right now that has surged me into a roller coaster of emotions. We are leaving our home of eleven years in Hampton Roads, Virginia to return to my original home in the suburbs of Los Angles, California. As a result, we will be reuniting in the love and support of family and long-time friends. The opportunity, decision, and implementation has happened in just the last few weeks. It's at once exciting, life-affirming, nostalgic, and yet not always easy to resist the urge to control with certainty what exactly to do. Even the best transtitions are an adjustment until the change becomes the new normal. With Lana's experience as a military wife, she helps me break it down as we talk about the four steps to adjustment inspired by the U-curve hypothesis proposed by Norwegian sociologist Sverre Lysgaard. “Adjustment as a process over time seems to follow a U-shaped curve: adjustment is felt to be easy and successful to begin with; then follows a ‘crisis’ in which one feels less well adjusted, somewhat lonely and unhappy; finally one begins to feel better adjusted again, becoming more integrated into the foreign community.” If you are going through or have been through a major life transition, we are sure you will appreciate this episode, too. Listen here on Spreaker in cased you missed it.Or anytime on iTunes or Stitcher. I will now be offering myLet's be Honest groups in Sunny SoCal with groups beginning in early Fall. I am also forming my first virtual Let's Be Honest Group for early Fall as well, so participants can join in the fun no what State you reside in.
To surrender and let go. Or, to take action and set forth. Let's Be Honest...
To surrender or take action? That is the question. What happens when we are faced with a big decision, or a big problem, that seems too big for us to go at alone. Do we surrender, or, do we rise up to the occasion? In other words, how do we know to either "let go and let God" or "go forth and conquer?" On Episode 22: To Surrender Or Take Action, Lana and I break it down for you with some funny stories and real life examples. When we find ourselves in an impasse, we discuss the crucial component necessary to help determine the best course of action when we are stuck. We also discussed the current media outcry for justice due to the victim of the Stanford rape and our hope for that outcry to stay loud enough to support the victims outside the west like the families of the 19 Yazidi girls burned to death for refusing to be sex slaves. Listen here on Spreaker in cased you missed it.Or anytime on iTunes or Stitcher. Have an awesome weekend! Love and light, Danielle
Why is it so hard to give today without any expectations of some kind of return? I was recently inspired by Mark Boyle, the author and activist of Moneyless Man where he takes an extreme stance on living a year without money to prove some fundamental points. A) We, as a society, are consuming way too much for our needs and B) we have lost the value of communal living. Therefore, it is no surprise that in a society shaped by "give to get," how do we go back to basics and give to give and why it behooves us to do so. Lana and I also discussed the 8 Ways of Giving according to ancient Jewish texts. Some of these ways of giving may surprise you. Also, if we give to give, we must receive to receive, we cannot do two actions at once. Lana and I also discuss why it is so important to receive fully when God or the Universe is giving us support. Listen here on Spreaker in cased you missed it. Or anytime on iTunes or Stitcher.
I hope your day is bright today! Love and light,

Last week we talked very frankly about paying attention to what intentions we have that are sitting in the backs of our minds. We spoke of Kelly Clarkson as an example. When she first graced the American Idol stage, she was "unmemorable" by many including Simon Cowell, that brutally honest judge we miss. By the time the contestants were whittled down to two, it was obvious to America who the shoe-in was. In the moment when Ryan Seacrest announced the new American Idol, Kelly stated her thoughts exactly in a later interview, "{Becoming a recognized singer} was always at the back of my mind, but I never thought it would be that big." The takeaway here, is that it was always in the back of her mind.
I also invited my listeners to take the free passion test found on my website here to hone in on and recall what it is that exactly sparks our enthusiasm. Also, we spoke about the simple truth quoted by T Harv Eker, "how you do anything is how you do everything, " I gave some personal examples of my own father's journey and habits as a self-made man, which began as a child of Iraqi Jewish immigrants arriving in a new foreign country with just the clothes off their backs. Listen to all of it here in case you missed it.(Always available on iTunesor Stitcher) So for today's topic, we are going to continue this conversation with a guest who ia actually struggling with finding her professional identity and feeling lost with how to manifest a career from all her passions and pursuits. Several weeks ago I was contacted by Fran Silverman, a wonderful talk-radio publistist, who asked if I wanted a multi layered gal name Frankie Picasso to come on my show. I said "sure," not realizing what a great guest was about to join me. The Unstoppable Frankie Picasso and I hit in off and we candidly discussed exactly what it takes when life literally and figuratively brings you down. Frankie was honest about what it took for her to bring herself and her life back together when she spent almost six months recuperating in the hospital from a motorcycle accident Listen Here in case you missed it.(Always available on iTunes or Stitcher) It's in the details, people: choosing opportunity over fear is what keeps you rising.
